Martin Chairez (he/him)

Born and raised in Mexico, Martin has been working in the beauty industry for over 30 years. His original plan was to work in international relations once he received his degree, but he quickly realized his passion was hair and decided to pursue it as a career, strengthening his skills and love for teaching.

Today, Martin is well known for his expertise in color, cutting, styling, and developing techniques that can be used by every hairstylist. He has traveled to many countries to share his knowledge at hair shows and local classes. He believes that being a good stylist is only half of what it takes to complete a jaw-dropping look — the other half is using the highest-quality products available to stylists and consumers.

Who are your muses? Models from the ’80s breaking rules being themselves, like Linda Evangelista and Naomi Campbell.

What is your luxury indulgence? First class. It is not where you are going, it is the way you go.

A career highlight: My show in Uruguay for the best hairdressers in the country, a selective group of Intercoiffure. At the end of the show, they were so captivated by my work.
